U.S. deaths in Afghanistan under Bush: 575 U.S. deaths in Afghanistan under Obama: 1,144
Obama ran for president pledging to end our involvement in Afghanistan but, soon after accepting the Nobel Peace Prize, Dear Leader tripled U.S. troop levels.
Obama lies; Americans die.
Scarier still, now in the wake of the alleged plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States, Obama has the needed pretext to begin a war against Iran.
I think the Iran thing is just sabre-rattling to look tough coming into an election year.
Although if it has more substance than that and we are really looking at more war...I would hope this country would finally get together a strong anti-war movement to let the government know that most Americans have no desire to live in a state of perpetual war.

Just in time for the next presidential election.
So you have finally given up on Obama? Was it expanding the Afghanistan war, not taking a firm stand for gay rights, or a mix of everything?
You've certainly named two.
There are probably hundreds more reasons. Now, it looks like Obama may have a pretext (however murky) to launch a war against Iran.
Since he can't fix the economy or create jobs, a new war is all he has up his sleeve in an election year.
But, Obama's arrogance is staggering. Military action against Iran will bring Russia and China to Iran's defense.
Call it, WWIII.
